New Evening and Sunday buses
Make the most of the new Westfield Derby

From 28th October we will be providing extra evening and Sunday buses on some of our routes into Derby.  These buses will be provided in conjunction with the new Westfield Derby shopping centre and will allow bus passengers to take advantage of the centre’s extended opening times. The centre will be open till 7pm Mondays to Wednesdays and Saturdays with extended opening till 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays.

Below is an outline of the extra services, full timetables will be available on the website shortly.

Between Derby and Belper extra evening journeys will run on Thursdays and Fridays: the Sunday service will double from hourly to half hourly.

Ilkeston Flyer

Monday to Wednesday the last bus back from Derby will be 7.15pm; on Thursdays the last bus will be 9.15pm with extra buses at 7.15pm and 8.15pm.

For the first time Ilkeston Flyer will have a Sunday service. The first bus from Ilkeston will be at 9.45am with hourly buses until 5.45pm. Return buses from Derby will leave at quarter past the hour until 5.15pm.

X38

Extra evening buses will run from Derby to Burton at 7pm and 8pm Mondays to Thursdays. On Thursdays there will also be buses at 9pm and 10pm.

H1

On Thursdays and Fridays extra evening buses will run between Derby and Heanor.  On Sunday the service between Derby and Heanor will be doubled from every hour to every half hour between 10.35am and 5.35pm.

A new Sunday service will be provided buses will run every hour with the first bus from Heatherton at 10.10am and the last bus at 5.10pm. Return journeys from Derby City centre will leave on the hour with the last bus being 5pm.

New terminus in Matlock

*LATEST OCTOBER 4th OPENING*
We have now been informed by Derbyshire County Council that the Matlock changes will go ahead on October 4th.

When the changes are introduced a new road will open between the railway station and Bakewell Road. At the same time the road bridge over the Derwent to Crown Island will close.

The new terminus for buses is close to the railway station.  The 6.1 and transpeak buses will use the new stopping place in both directions INSTEAD OF the old bus station/Somerfield stop on Bakewell Road.

The new stop will be called ‘Matlock Rail Station’.

Disruption due to road works at Disley

Resurfacing work will is taking place between New Mills and Disley. The work began on 3rd September and is expected to last 10 weeks.

We are currently experiencing long delays on transpeak and SKYLINE 199. Thank you for bearing with us while these works are carried out.

radcliffe line and cotgrave connection
Cricket Ground stop suspended

Whilst a new stand is constructed at Trent Bridge Cricket Ground the first stop in Radcliffe Road will be withdrawn. Customers should go to the stop approximately 50 metres further towards West Bridgford to catch their bus.

Carrington Street Nottingham
Road closed outbound, stops suspended

From October 1st Carrington Street in Nottingham, the road passing the train station, will be closed outbound to allow bridge strengthening work to be carried out. It is estimated that this closure will take 6-8 weeks. During this time we will be unable to serve this section of road; to catch your xprss, radcliffe line, cotgrave connection, keyworth connection, ruddington connection or 22 bus please go to Broadmarsh Bus Station. These services will continue to set down here on the way into the city.

Long Eaton College Street
October closure advanced notice

We have been informed that Derbyshire County Council will be closing College Street in Long Eaton for a 5 day period in October. This is expected to cause serious disruption to our rainbow 5 and 15 brands. We will publish further details here as soon as we have them.

Timetable Alteration

From 28th October the 7.32am journey from Toton Corner to Nottingham will begin at Hickings Lane at 7.54am.

Roadworks on the A61

Planned roadworks are now taking place at Donkin Island on the A61 at Chesterfield.

These works are expected to last 26 weeks and will inevitably cause delays to the pronto buses at peak times of the day.

We will do all we can to keep the buses running on time and we can only apologise for any inconvenience. The situation is clearly beyond our control.
