ruddington connection From 27th July the popular ruddington connection will double in frequency and make a new direct link to the Ruddington Fields Business Park. Customers travelling into Nottingham will benefit too as ruddington connection will be extended round the city centre calling at Broadmarsh, Upper Parliament Street and Old Market Square. We have worked with our partners at Nottingham City Council and Nottinghamshire County Council to provide a frequent direct link from Ruddington Fields Business Park to West Bridgford and Nottingham. And the bonus is that customers along the route will see extra buses up from a bus every half hour to one every 15 minutes between Ruddington and Nottingham. The Ruddington to Clifton part of the service will increase from hourly to half hourly too. From the same date we will be making some changes to the buses in Barleylands. The first bus from Barleylands to Nottingham will be at 9.18am. Buses back from Nottingham will run at 15 minutes past the hour from Broadmarsh and drop off on request to the driver. The new ruddington connection timetable can be found here Bingham Following consultation with customers we have decided not to re route radcliffe line buses along Mallow Way. Many customers on Wychwood Road and Carnarvon Place were worried about the loss of a direct bus to Radcliffe and Bingham. We felt the strength of feeling was such that we could not re-route this bus. We would like to thank everyone who took part in the consultation. H1 Traffic congestion in Heanor is getting worse, and we are finding it more and more difficult to run H1 to time. We know that punctuality is your number one priority and with no prospect of any bus priority measures we are forced to consider changing the route. We have put together a proposal that will improve the reliability of H1. This will run H1 into Heanor from Derby via Thorpes Road, Stainsby Avenue and Wilmot Street – this misses out the Tesco stop into Heanor. Anybody wanting to get off at Tesco can stay on the bus. The Tesco stop towards Derby can be used as normal. We also propose a change of route between Alfreton and Heanor. After 10am H1 will run non-stop from Leabrooks to Alfreton Bus Station; customers wanting to get off at Somercotes or Viyella can stay on the bus at no extra cost. Buses will leave Alfreton Bus Station 5 minutes earlier than now. There will be no change to H1 buses before 10am on this section. Please let us know what you think of these proposed changes by e-mailing H1@trentbarton.co.uk or call customer services on 01773 712265. Nothing will happen until we know exactly what our customers think. rainbow 5 The centre of Loughborough will see roadworks through the summer while gas mains are replaced. There may be some delays on the Loughborough section of rainbow 5 due to this work. Later on in the summer buses may have to divert in the town. Full details will be posted here when they are available. 9.4 We have for some time had difficulty turning from Fackley Way to Fackley Road. From 27th July 9.4 buses will travel the opposite way along Fackley Way to eliminate this turn. Customers at Fackley Way should wait on the opposite side of the road than at the moment. Also 9.4 will now serve Healdswood before Fackley Way. Times at Healdswood will be 2 minutes earlier than they are now. Times at Fackley way will be 7 minutes later Full timetables will be available shortly. 9.3 & 90 The road between Kirkby and Pinxton will be closed from 10th April until 21st August. During these works 90 will use Park Lane to travel direct between Kirkby and Selston; we will be unable to serve Commonside, Station Road or Beafort Lane. 9.3 will also use Park Lane but will have to divert via Commonside, Station Road or Beafort Lane to make this diversion. This means any customers for service 90 on Commonside, Station Road or Beafort Lane should catch 9.3 and change to 90 at Portland Road. Findern Lane Closed Findern Lane is now closed for up to 6 months; for the development of a new marina. This will mean that villager V3 buses will not be able to serve Findern. A shuttle bus is being provided by Derbyshire County Council to link Findern to the main villager V3 route at Heatherton. |
