Trent Barton Routes & Times Update

ruddington connection - timetable changes from 27th July

We have been running for 12 months the extension of the ruddington connection around the city loop in Nottingham.  Unfortunately the funding which made this possible has now come to an end and we are sorry that we are not carrying enough customers to continue with this part of the route.
So from Monday 27th July there will be some timetable changes to the ruddington connection;

  • All buses will run to and from Broadmarsh Bus Station.
  • Most Buses will run up to 10 minutes earlier to Nottingham from Ruddington Green, Clifton and the business park.
  • Buses from Clifton to Ruddington will also run up to 10 minutes earlier.
  • Times from Broadmarsh will not change.

rainbow 2 is going……  in comes the two
new looks, new name, new seats, new style…

From Sunday 27th July rainbow 2 will be getting a major makeover.  There’ll be brand new buses, with a brand new name and a host of new features to make getting in and out of Nottingham a better travel experience.

The route will be called the two and each bus will have full air-con, a colour co-ordinated interior with stylish leather seats , wood laminate floor, and the latest low emission engines too.

If you want to see one of the new buses before the launch, pop to Ilkeston Market Place on Friday 24th July between 10am and 3pm.

Timetable Update
We will be making some timetable changes to the two from Monday 7th September to improve our reliability  - click here for new times

Road Closure affecting indigo at Sawley
From Monday 3rd August 2009

Essential bridge repairs will be taking place on Tamworth Road from Monday 3rd August for around 4 weeks.  The road will be completely closed to all traffic affecting indigo buses that run to Loughborough.

To keep the Loughborough buses running on time we will divert from Long Eaton via Derby Rd, Petersham Road, Bostocks Lane, M1, A50, to Sawley roundabout where the normal route will be picked up through to Loughborough – the same diversion will run from Loughborough back to Long Eaton.

Customers who want stops between Long Eaton Green, Tamworth Road and Draycott Road can use the dedicated shuttle bus that will connect with indigo at Long Eaton Green.

There are no changes to the indigo timetable and only the Loughborough buses are affected.  As soon as the road re-opens we will of course return to our normal route.

This situation is clearly beyond our control so please bear with us, we will try our best to keep things running to time.

Road Closure Cotgrave Lane at Tollerton
Affecting bus 22

From Monday 8th August until Friday 25th September Cotgrave Lane at Tollerton will be closed to all traffic.

During the closure bus 22 will run to and from Nottingham via Tollerton Road, Melton Road and Cotgrave Road where the normal route will be picked up.

Unfortunately we will not be able to pick up at stops along Cotgrave Lane.  Also, because of the extra time taken to run to this diversion all buses will run to and from Broadmarsh bus station, not Friar Lane.

calverton connection – a new dawn
from Sunday 9th August

The calverton connection will soon be getting a complete make-over, with smart brand new environmentally friendly buses which feature full air-con and leather seats – we think you’ll rather like them.

From the same date MANGO will be available on calverton connection offering customer up to 25% off single cash fares – more information at www.trentbarton.co.uk/mango

There’ll be no changes to the timetable.

Route 18 - new timetable from 7th September

We have recently been experiencing some timing problems on Route 18, so from Monday 7th September the times will be adjusted by a few minutes.
