PRESS RELEASE (17 August 2006)

New Look Bus Service To Go On The Road

A BUS service between Derby and Hucknall is to get a bright new appearance from next month.

The current 125, which runs through Kilburn, Horsley Woodhouse, Heanor, Aldercar and Eastwood, will become known as the amber line from Monday 4 September.

There’ll be new seating and interior décor, plus a fresh colourful livery, on the 40-seater buses.

Paul Matthews, at trent barton, said: “These buses really stand out from the crowd with their fine new liveries. They’re easy to spot, and that’s just what our passengers like.”

The service got the thumbs up from passengers in recent research which showed that ‘friendly and polite’ drivers were its most appealing feature. Almost as many – just under 90% - said the route offered good value for money, while four in five people wouldn’t change a thing about the service.
