| Makeover for Express Coach Service |
| |
BRITAIN’S only coach service with its own page on Facebook is to offer a free wi-fi link for internet users.
Red Arrow, which speeds passengers to and from Derby and Nottingham, has undergone a makeover, and is being officially re-launched by the Mayor of Derby Councillor Barbara Jackson at 9am at Derby, St Peters Street on Friday 12 September.
The air-conditioned expresses with their leather seats remove much of the hassle of driving and parking for commuters and shoppers travelling between the two East Midlands cities.
The coaches all have on-board tables for catching up on a bit of work or having a cup of coffee, and run into the evenings six days a week and into the early hours on Friday and Saturday nights. The trip between the two cities takes 40 minutes at busy times, and that comes down to half an hour in the evenings. The service also goes to Chesterfield.
Sarah Taylor, marketing manager at trentbarton, said: “Red Arrow has been a remarkable success story since the service was launched. Now the coaches are even more convenient for those who want to go online during their journey – with our new free wi-fi link.
“We continually invest in our fleet and, although the coaches are only just under four years old, we’re giving them a complete makeover and adding even more features.”
