| New boost for Derby and Notts buses |
| |
VISITORS to hospitals in Derby and villagers in south Nottinghamshire are to benefit from new investment in bus services by trent barton.
An improved timetable was introduced this spring on the H1 Derby Hospital bus service.
Now the route is being renamed ‘Royal Derby’ on 1 July, and a fleet of brand new low-floor easy access buses brought into service.
It represents a £400,000 investment in the service which runs every ten minutes during the day from Derby city centre to the City Hospital and Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.
There will be no changes to bus times.
Meanwhile, villagers in Cotgrave in Nottinghamshire will notice changes from 28 June. Their green Cotgrave Connection buses are becoming ‘greener’.
The newer buses will sport a brand new look inside and out, and there will be more space, which is especially beneficial for passengers with buggies.
The engines will be greener too, making them kinder to the environment.
